Putting Container Hype in Perspective at HostingCon Europe 2016

Among both the educational sessions and the exhibitor booths at ResellerClub presents HostingCon Europe 2016 in Amsterdam 11-12 October 2016 there will be a mix of the familiar and the new.

Hacking has been an issue for service providers since before the dawn of the internet, and the keynote speaker for day 1 of HostingCon Europe will be “Europe’s No. 1 Ethical Hacker,” Jamie Woodruff.

Container technology is prominent among the points of growing interest this year not just for developers, but for hosting and cloud services companies. The containers market is huge and growing fast as DevOps adoption spikes.

A Tuesday afternoon Trends and Technology track session titled Docker: Hype or Hope will feaure a panel discussion moderated by EVO Venture Partners Partner Jan Wiersma, who has extensive experience in building and managing large scale IT infrastructures, and participates in groups like the Open Compute Project and the Open Datacenter Alliance. Other panelists include Ludo Baauw of Intermax, William Bell of PhoenixNAP, Jules-Henri Gavetti of Ikoula, and Funs Kessen of EVO Venture Partners.

Of course, given their impact on web hosting and virtualization, containers will also be touched on in other sessions, and will be represented in the exhibit hall.

Over a dozen educational sessions have already been announced, and several more will be unveiled soon. The first group among 50 or more exhibitors has been revealed, as well as several networking opportunities each day, including the Wednesday night WHIR Networking event, so register today.
